Michael Clarke
Counseling Intern | He/Him
Recognizing the complexities of the counseling process, I understand that finding the right fit with a therapist is important. There are many reasons for seeking counseling, and whatever those reasons might be, my goal as a therapist is to create an empathetic space for you to feel supported and understood.
I take a person-centered approach to therapy and prescribe to cognitive and existential theories. I believe that our experiences define how we view the world and sometimes we need help making sense of what we see. To assist clients in their healing process, I utilize psychodynamic techniques, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. By utilizing these techniques, I help clients discover hope, learn new ways to cope, and discover new meaning in their life.
If you are facing barriers in your life that are preventing you from being where you should be, whether that is internally and no one else knows, or externally, and someone else has encouraged you to seek help, I am here for you. I would love to collaborate with you on your journey of healing.
