Counseling Philosophy

I believe that everyone deserves a space where they can show up as their raw and authentic selves. My own personal journey with mental health challenges taught me how powerful it can be to have someone who truly listens, sees you, and walks alongside you. That insight and my core values are what led me to this work.

My counseling style is authentic, talk-centered, and grounded in building trust through genuine connection. I strive to create an environment where clients feel comfortable and free of judgment, and where open dialogue fosters both safety and growth. I draw from person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and strengths-based approaches, tailoring my work to meet clients where they are and to highlight their resilience.

I enjoy working with both teens and adults, particularly around issues of anxiety, grief and loss, identity exploration, and life transitions such as parenthood. I believe that even what we sometimes see as flaws can become strengths and assets in the healing journey.

I bring honesty, empathy, and a genuine commitment to helping clients develop tools they can carry with them throughout their lives. My hope is that clients leave our sessions not only with new skills, but also with a stronger sense of trust in themselves and their ability to navigate challenges.
